Hey! I’m Cera
I’m a 30-something Korean mom living in Korea with my 2-year-old baby and two adorable Maltese dogs. When I’m not busy with mom life, you’ll find me watching anime, playing games, or diving deep into the latest K-dramas.
Why I Started This Blog
I’ve noticed that most Korean learning resources teach you textbook Korean - the kind that sounds formal and… well, kind of awkward in real life.
But the Korean you hear in:
- K-dramas on Netflix
- K-pop idol interviews
- YouTube vlogs
- Gaming streams
- Social media
…is completely different!
I want to teach you the expressions that Koreans actually use in everyday life. The slang, the casual phrases, the internet speak - all the good stuff that makes you sound like a real Korean speaker, not a textbook.
What Makes This Blog Different?
- Native Voice - Everything here comes from a real Korean person (me!)
- Real Examples - Chat examples and actual situations
- Pop Culture - Learn Korean through the content you already love
- No BS - I explain things like I’m talking to a friend, not a classroom
My Style
I keep things casual and fun. You’ll see me use:
- Internet slang (because that’s how we really talk)
- Personal stories from my daily life
- References to anime, games, and K-dramas
Think of me as your Korean friend who’s always ready to explain what that phrase in the drama really means.
What You’ll Learn Here
- Daily Expressions - How to order at cafes, shop, chat with friends
- K-Content Language - Understand your favorite dramas and variety shows
- Internet Culture - Decode Korean internet slang, memes, and texting
- Cultural Context - Why Koreans say things a certain way
A Quick Note
I’m not a Korean teacher - I’m a native speaker who wants to share the real Korean language with you. My explanations might not be academically perfect, but they’ll be practical, honest, and actually useful in real life.
Ready to learn Korean the fun way? Let’s go!
